An exremly self indulgent headcanon ridden shrine for vocaloid/utau/fanloid ! one of my longest running obsessions almost 10 years !

What is a vocaloid ?
So this shrine will be less informational more silly. But vocaloid is A vocal synth software first created in 2004. It grew in populartity as a way to make songs and produce music without using your voice. Many vocaloid voice banks use anime or cartoon charcters to reperent the voice, and that is a vocaloid. They usally have a charcter item decied by the fandom or the creator themselves ! (ex: Miku's is a leek becuase one of her first most popular covers was a cover a meme song levan polka. Which usally had a charcter swinging a leek around, and it just became her charcter item and thing ! The more you know !) People in the vocaloid fandom used to have "item wars" Over what each charcter had for their item !
What is an Utauloid then ?
Utau is another vocal synth software made in 2008 however, unlike Vocaloid, i's free ! And often considered a little more robotic or rough by people. It already was being compared to vocaloid as it first made rounds but members of futaba channel (JP fourm board) decied to make a "Fake vocaloid" with Utau. Thus, Teto Kansane was made ! Along with many other joke or "fake" Vocaloids. Utauloids often have items liek vocaloids, and becuase many people did start to use the fakies for actaul songs, they just kinda became apart of the vocaloid fandom themselves !
So is fanloid another vocal synth software ?
Nope ! Fanloids as in the name, are fan made vocaloids or utauloids with no real voice bank, simply using an already made voice bank to alter and sing songs ! (ex: Akita Neru's "voice bank" is a high pitched Miku or Low picthed Rin). Speaking of Akita Neru, she was also created as a joke by futaba channel to mock a tv broadcast calling all miku/vocaloid fans "Anime freaks with no stable work exprince." Along with you being unable to google miku, people though they had created a "anti miku campaign". and in a way, Neru is the "Anti-Miku".
